2017 Graduation Clearance Process

Grades
Please access the unofficial transcript in Student Self-Service to be sure all grades for completed coursework are reflected. Incomplete and In Progress grades will prevent clearance from the College.

Other Academic Requirements

  • A Passing score is required on all national board exams for Medical and Dental Students.
    • Medical Students – USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK & CS
    • Dental Students – NBDE Part 1 & 2
  • Graduate Students have to deposit their Dissertation or Thesis.

Academic Affairs will verify completion of these requirements.

Graduation Clearance Form
Graduating students have to complete the top portion of the Graduation Clearance form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar by Friday, May 19, 2017 by 12 p.m. in order to receive a diploma at commencement. Students are responsible for circulating their form. Keep in mind that the Treasurer’s Office closes at 4pm daily. Those who satisfy all academic and financial requirements to clear the College will receive a final copy of the Graduation Clearance form along with their diploma at commencement.

Regalia Orders

Students are notified when regalia is ready for pick-up. Please respond immediately to allot time for adjustments if needed. We cannot guarantee replacement regalia, if needed, for those who respond late to the pick-up notice.

Regalia must be returned at the designated location immediately after Commencement. The complete unit (gown, hood, and tam) must be returned undamaged. There is a $100 fee for late returns, $500 for lost or damaged regalia. No exceptions.

To order Regalia:
Please visit the Herff Jones website at https://collegegrad.herffjones.com to place regalia orders. The deadline to complete regalia orders is Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

Diplomas
All anticipated graduates must complete the online Diploma Application card. It is a two part process in Banner Student Self-Service. The deadline to complete is Friday, February 17, 2017. Students who did not meet the deadline will have to contact the Registrar’s Office for instructions.

Please note: Students who DO NOT anticipate completion in the time allotted to receive a degree dated May 20, 2017 must notify the Office of the Registrar by February 17, 2017 in writing. The cost to order a duplicate degree is $75.00 and will be passed along to the graduate.

Diplomas will be disseminated immediately following Commencement. The designated location will be communicated to graduates at Grand Rehearsal.
