SOGS Programs

• Graduate Student Scholarship Fund—This fund provides scholarships to students of our new Physician Assistants Sciences Program, our premier Master of Public Health Program and our very popular Masters in Health Sciences Program.

• Research Mentor Catalyst Program Fund—The goal of this program is to continually develop and renew cadres of junior faculty who can mentor our graduate students. Program activities include professional development for faculty to develop excellence in mentoring and management skills and for students to learn how to perform exceptional research and develop as future leaders. The program also provides resources for the research team to support the dissertation project of the student.

• Dean’s Vision Fund—This fund provides resources for SOGS development and growth. Three current focus areas are:
a) developing a school that has highly
engaged faculty, staff, and students;
b) organizing
policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness; and
c) growing our programs,
particularly our dual degree (M.D./Ph.D., D.D.S./Ph.D. and MPH/Ph.D.) programs.
