Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic Meharry Medical College has been at the forefront—by managing free COVID-19 testing at Nashville-Davidson County’s assessment centers, by engaging through research and, most recently, through our vaccine trials.
Now the COVID-19 vaccine has been made available to those age 75 and over, and Meharry, in cooperation with local authorities and the Tennessee Department of Health (TDOH) will play a significant role in bringing it to Nashville’s minority community.
Meharry is administering the vaccine on Saturdays to patients in our Meharry Medical Group clinics and to community members who register. Just click on the button above to join the waitlist.
The vaccines are safe and effective, and we urge you to protect yourselves, your families and your community by this one simple act. Remember, you must be 75 or over for this round of inoculations.
The first step in defeating COVID-19 was testing, and we’ve tested more than 300,000 Nashvillians since beginning in March. The next step is up to you.
Make the next, best move to protect yourself against COVID-19.
