The Meharry Medical College Library provides access to a combination of subscribed and publicly available electronic databases and journals.
- UpToDate Clinical Reference – (Subscribed resource) UpToDate® is an evidence-based knowledge system authored by physicians to help clinicians make the right decisions at the point of care. All UpToDate content is written and edited by a global community of physicians, world-renowned experts in their specialties. Supported by a staff of in-house physician editors, these authors follow a rigorous editorial process, continually reviewing the content to ensure it is of the highest quality and based on the latest evidence.
- DXplain – DXplain is a decision support system that provides ranked lists of disease diagnosis based upon patient signs, symptoms and laboratory values entered by the healthcare professional. The DXplain knowledgebase contains over 5,000 clinical findings associated with more than 2,400 diseases.

- EBM Reviews – Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CCTR) – (Subscribed resource). As part of the Evidence Based Medicine Reviews Collection, this bibliographic database contains over 300,000 references of controlled or randomized controlled trials. The records within this database are searchable and include those trials indexed in Medline, EMBASE and those chosen by Cochrane and other contributors.
- EBM Reviews – Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (DSR) – (Subscribed resource) The EBM Reviews – Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (DSR) Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews contains full-text systematic reviews on various topics in medicine. Prepared by the Cochrane Collaboration, the reviews are presented as complete reviews or protocols for reviews underway. Users are able to search fields and browse topics within the database. There are links from source references to Medline and Ovid Full Text.
