At the conclusion of this grand round the attendees will be able to:
Discuss the current state of the HIV/AIDS epidemic among women in the US.
Identify the general risk factors for HIV acquisition in women.
Describe and be familiar with diagnosis and clinical presentations of HIV infected women.
Describe and be familiar with treatment strategies for HIV infected women who undiagnosed and become pregnant.
Discuss treatment challenges in women infected with HIV on ARVs
Describe and be familiar with risk and treatment challenges of older women with HIV/AIDS.
Describe and become familiar with the medical interventions of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and post exposure prophylaxis (PeP).
