The Dr. Henry A. Moses Senior Transition Scholarship Application

The Dr. Henry A. Moses Transition Scholarship Fund application is now open for graduating seniors of Meharry Medical College. The stipend is intended to help students with their moving expenses to pursue further training.

The Transition Stipends are funded from the earnings of the Dr. Henry A. Moses Transition Scholarship Fund and are available to graduating medical or dental students who will be graduating in 2024.

Persons entering Military service are not eligible. Recipients of service obligation scholarship programs (i.e. Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program, National Health Service Corps, and State Medical Education Board of Georgia Scholarship Program) are not eligible for the Dr. Henry A. Moses Discretionary Fund Stipends for seniors.

Students must have written notification that they have earned a residency position from the Program Director. This communication must accompany the application. Graduates who enter private practice (and not a residency program) are not eligible for the stipend.

A brief statement (500 words or fewer) stating the activities, leadership roles and service to Meharry Medical College during your matriculation must accompany the application.

The stipend may range up to $1000.00 dollars as determined by the Scholarship Committee of the Meharry National Alumni Association.

Applications must be submitted by:
April 30, 2024.

Applications are closed.
