Accessing Policies

All policies belonging to Meharry Medical College are housed within our PolicyTech system. Within PolicyTech, the policies are sorted into their responsible schools and specific departments. To find a policy, follow the link to PolicyTech and browse or search the available policies. The policies visible to the public can be found at the link below.

All Meharrians have access to PolicyTech and must login to view internal policies, templates, and assessments. In order to login, follow the link below. If you have not registered your account, follow the link, select the orange “Continue” button, and then select “Set password.” Your username is the first part of your email address. Training

Employees responsible for writing, reviewing, and approving policies will need to be trained on the PolicyTech system. In order to schedule this training, please reach out to policytech@mmc.edu.

About Our Process

The Office of General Counsel (OGC) oversees all legal and regulatory matters that impact Meharry Medical College. With a strong emphasis on reducing risk, it provides advice and representation to the College, its affiliated entities, and its trustees, officers, employees and students while acting on the College’s behalf.

College policy requires the OGC to review and approve all legal and regulatory issues before any action is taken on the College’s behalf, including, but not limited to, contracts, real estate transactions, litigation, visa applications, release of College documents or records, and responses to subpoenas or governmental inquiries or investigations. The OGC is responsible for all policies. For more information regarding specific policies, please contact their office.

Each policy within our system is written by the responsible office and submitted for review to the corresponding policy review committee or members. The policy is then approved by the dean of the appropriate school. All system-wide policies are approved by Executive Administration.

Violations of Policies

Violations of any policy should be reported to your supervisor, Human Resources, a department chair, and/or the office responsible for the policy. Where these resources are inadequate, you may choose to make an anonymous report through the Compliance Hotline: (888) 695-1534.
