The Dr. James E.K. Hildreth Presidential Discretionary Fund

The Dr. James E.K. Hildreth Presidential Discretionary Fund was established in 2020 by the members of the Meharry Medical College Board of Trustees. The fund is a designated account that will be used to provide funding to address unmet needs of the College as determined by the President—a specified fund to be used by the Meharry chief executive to respond appropriately to areas identified with the greatest needs, intended to give the President sole discretion and authority to provide support in one or more of the College’s missions of teaching, scholarship and service, to support needs such as student scholarships, technology, faculty support, program initiation expenses, activities, and other unmet campus needs which would otherwise be unfunded.
